Manoa Falls

Manoa is probably my favorite area on Oahu and I personally lives in Manoa too! :)
This beautiful waterfall is located in the Manoa area and it is called the Manoa Falls.
Manoa Falls has to be one of the most fascinating waterfalls on Oahu to be seen! Cascading 150 feet down the mountai
nside, 1.6 miles round trip from the starting point to the falls and back. It will seem more like 1000 feet as you stare up at the endless water falling down the rocks. Not many Oahu waterfalls are easy to travel to, that can also deliver such an impressive show!

Alan Davis

Alan Davis is what the locals call it, but the official name is the “Ka’Iwi Scenic Shoreline” and it's known to be a good place to do some cliff jumping because of the easy access, clear water, and poles that are already positioned for jumpers in the rocky shoreline.

If you're not into jumping or swimming, hang out on the rocks with a beer or take a short walk to Pele's Chair - a nearby rock formation which many are known to climb on top of. Be careful of the rocky way down if you decide to test your rock climbing skills.

The Mermaid cave

This "Mermaid Cave" is one of the most beautiful places on the island of O'ahu. The impressive, but sometimes dangerous grotto is really an extraordinary sight to take in.

The fun is in the finding! If you know anything about the landscape on O'ahu, then it should not be too hard to figure out where this cave is located. And if you do not know much about the geography of O'ahu then the search will be a great adventure, I promise!

When you do visit, be sure to respect it and the people who live nearby. There are memorial sites in the ground here for people who are no longer with us. The people who have made their homes in this area are saints to put up with the ruckus I have seen surrounding this cave. Besides the boisterous crowds, the littering needs to stop. Our natural world is very important and taking care of the 'aina is part of the Aloha spirit. Please, do not litter and if you see trash pick it up because there are trash cans in the parking lot.

Hala Kahiki

"Hala Kahiki" is the Hawaiian word for Pineapple. This is because the Hawaiians thought pineapple resembled the"Hala" fruit. "Kahiki" means foreign, hence pineapple became "Foreign Hana's" in Hawaii.

The pineapple is recognized as a traditional expression of “welcome”. The fruit symbolizes those intangible assets we appreciate in a home: warmth, welcome, friendship and hospitality.

The story behind my pineapple is actually pretty funny... I met this girl on the street that's traveling from Iceland during Halloween night. We immediately bonded like soulmates so we decided to get a matching tattoo together and so yesterday we went to the tattoo store and get these pineapples to celebrate our ONE WEEK friendship anniversary!! It was definitely a drunken idea but we are still glad we got it and loving it. Just like how people said, you only have one life so you gotta make it memorable. (Can't wait to tell my mom....)

Makaha Beach

The green sea turtle, also known as the green turtle, black (sea) turtle or Pacific green turtle. They are very highly protected animals in Hawaii. It is illegal to kill, capture, touch or harass sea turtles. Fines can be as high as $25,000 and may include a year in prison.

On the Oahu island the Makaha Beach is one of the best spot to see them if you have snorkeling gear and if you are a strong swimmer you could swim out to the sea and see several of them easily.

I took this picture btw :)

Hawaii pride 2016

I went to the gay pride with two of my best friends this weekend and it was a very special experience for me. I am always a one big supporter for the LGBT people because I have people that I truly care about that are gay and I am proud of them for being who they are. In my opinion, everyone have no right to judge anyone because every human beings are beautiful and different than anyone else in the world. There are no right and wrong when speaking of love and no matter if you are gay or straight, the right to love anyone should be the same.

Surfing in Hawaii

Before I moved to Hawaii I was a skier in Michigan and I race for my ski team during the winter for almost everyday or every other day. I had so much passion in skiing when I was doing to with my teammate and no matter if you won or lost the competition we would always feel very excited at least we did it as a team and accept the result as a team.

When I first moved to Hawaii it was a very special and different experience for me because it unlike anywhere that i've been to but without being on a sports team and have things to do everyday I feel empty inside my heart, until I start surfing.

Surfing is unlike any other sports, it gave me a feeling that every time I go surfing is a different experience and challenge. By just padding out to the water and look for the wave that belongs to you was surprisedly a very peaceful thing to do and it made me feel calm and more focus. Even when I'm just out in the ocean and laying on my board resting it feels like I'm so far away from all the stress and issues and it really was an amazing feeling.

For people who's living on this beautiful island, I highly recommend to go surfing and I hope you will fall in love with this sport just like I did.

Why Hawaii?

If you ask me WHY move to Hawaii, there are plenty of amazing things on this island that I can share with you all day long.

First of, the perfect weather and killer views on almost anywhere you go on the island. What makes it even better is the winter doesn't even exist in Hawaii, it is always nice and warm in this paradise that you never have to worry about have to shove the heavy snow in front of your house or driving on the slippery ice all the time!!

Also, it is easy to make new friends in Hawaii! If you are new to the island, don't worry because so many others are just like you! Hawaii is one of the most social place I have ever been, there's something about sharing simple things like food, surfing, a walk on the beach or a potluck on the beach with either friends or families can easily brings people together naturally.

I have been living in Hawaii for about 2 years now but I am still in love with this amazing island and never want to leave!!
